Built on a foundation of collaboration and networking, CHW serves as a vital hub for resources and information, fostering healing, empowerment, and resilience.
Launched in 2015 as a radio show on WINA in Virginia, CHW adapted to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic by transitioning to podcasting, significantly expanding its reach. Over the past decade, CHW has grown from a single radio show to a thriving global network of 17 (and counting) podcasts, providing invaluable insights and support to the military and first responder communities.
With this rapid expansion, CHW has focused on streamlining information and resources, leading to the launch of the CHW Streaming Radio channel in 2024. This innovative platform serves as a centralized hub for podcasts, talk shows, music, and awareness campaigns—accessible anytime, anywhere.
Furthering its mission, CHW has partnered with the Kut2thaChase Foundation to support the upcoming documentary Reclaiming Life: A Cancer Story of Hope (2025). Through this collaboration that follows a veteran, award-winning author, and multiple myeloma survivor on an emotional journey along the Camino de Santiago, CHW continues to champion resilience, healing, and the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity and thrive.
Kut2ThaChase Podcast: Conversations with Purpose
Launched in February 2020, Kut2ThaChase Podcast began as a digital platform for authentic, unscripted conversations. Created by Gregory Proctor, the series features heartfelt dialogues with friends, family, and professionals, designed to inspire, uplift, and foster meaningful human connection. With its tagline of “soul-nourishing conversations,” the podcast has become a trusted space for voices from all walks of life.
A Turning Point: Purpose Beyond Podcasting
In August 2021, life took an unexpected and deeply personal turn for Gregory and his wife Monica. Gregory was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare and complex form of blood cancer. This moment marked a profound shift—not only in their lives but in the mission of the podcast itself.
Determined to turn adversity into advocacy, the couple began using the podcast as a platform to share their journey, raise awareness, and educate others on the importance of early detection and proactive healthcare. With support from Sports Masters’ Ray Blumenfeld and Patrick Cairns, they launched the MMA Hope Awareness Campaign, creating a dedicated line of apparel to promote education and visibility around the disease.
The Birth of the Kut2ThaChase Foundation
What began as a podcast soon expanded into a broader initiative. The Kut2ThaChase Foundation was born, driven by a mission to:
- Create a safe haven for patients and caregivers to speak freely, exchange experiences, and provide peer-to-peer guidance.
- Relieve financial burdens by offering assistance with non-covered insurance costs.
- Deliver accurate, digestible information, stripping away the medical jargon and presenting facts in a way that empowers, not overwhelms.
- Collaborate with global experts through a new podcast series, engaging leading doctors, scientists, and advocates in the fight against multiple myeloma.
- Address racial disparities, particularly in Black communities, where the disease is both more common and more deadly, with a focus on closing the awareness and treatment gaps.
A Journey of Resilience: The Camino and Beyond
In a profound demonstration of strength and hope, Gregory joined five other multiple myeloma patients and caregivers on a transformative 117 km trek along Spain’s Camino de Santiago, from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela. This pilgrimage marked the beginning of a new annual tradition—bringing others impacted by the disease together for a spiritual and emotional journey of healing.
Recognizing the need for official nonprofit backing, Gregory connected through mutual acquaintance Donna Hoffmeyer, leading to a powerful partnership with Coming Home Well (CHW). This collaboration laid the foundation for the upcoming documentary, “Reclaiming Life: A Cancer Story of Hope” (2025)—a story of vulnerability, courage, and the unwavering human spirit.
From podcast to purpose, from stories to movement—Kut2ThaChase continues to be a voice of healing, advocacy, and transformation.
